Decent place to hike. Easy trails. Have seen owl, blue herons, egrets, & various small birds in summer months. Have also seen downy & hairy woodpeckers. Swans & common golden eye ducks present on water in winter, & several robins in muddy areas (winter).
Beautiful spot. Had fun exploring and took in a beautiful sunset. Seems like a great spot for biking and fishing.

If you are looking for a nice quiet place to walk, bike or picnic, this is a nice place to do it. Lovely wooded area good for bird watching. We parked on the street and took a trail in to the dam area. Lots of people enjoy fishing around …
Fun little park to walk through, go fishing, or watch for birds. Saw an egret right by us and it didn't even seem afraid. We fished while it just stood next to us letting us observe.
Breathtaking views! Just a few pictures of around the dam - plenty more to do and see. Kayak rentals, biking, trails, fishing, picnic and restroom areas and beautiful sites! Will definitely be going back to visit soon!
As a kid I would ride across the dam on my way to Elm Creek. A lot has been improved and more improvements are coming including a new visitors center.
